Reach Distance and Angle of Diffused Airflow

Reach Distance of Airflow

NOZZLE DIFFUSER is generally attached to the wall or ceiling. The minimum reach distance is measured (Lmin) at the location where
the central wind velocity of the airflow is 0.5m/s. The location of the residual air velocity of 0.1m/s is L (reference value).



Horizontal diffusion on the wall

The center of the airflow (the distance between the maximum wind velocity the maximum temperature) in any case of the same temperature as room temperature or hot and cold air in the horizontal diffusion shows approximately the same value.



Vertical diffusion on the ceiling

During vertical diffusion, the airflow is subjected to buoyancy, so it is short in the case of warm air diffusion and long in the case of cold air diffusion. In the case of cold/warm air diffusion, when the difference between the temperature difference in the room is 10℃, the distance between horizontal and vertical diffusion varies by ±25%.



Diffusion Range

For the airflow diffusion, the location at which the central wind velocity of diffused air flow is 0.5m/s is the minimum diffusion range (Rmin diffusion angle 15°), and the location at 0.25m/s is the maximum diffusion range (Rmax, diffusion angle 20°). The diffusion angle shows almost the same value regardless of the diameter of the outlet.



Reach Distance Correction Factor

The reach distance during the diffusion of hot and cold air is calculated by multiplying the reach distance in the performance table by a correction factor.
